Any one interested in putting together a dyno day at True Blue Performance in Benson sometime in the next month. I emailed them and this is the reply I got.


Thanks for your email. First, we only do club type dyno sessions on Saturdays. If it is just your vehicle, it would have to be during the week. Baseline pulls which is what it sounds like you are interested in are $75.00 for 3 pulls. This will give you HP, Torque and A/F.
If you want to gather together a few lightings for a dyno day, we could do that on a Saturday and the cost would be $60.00 per vehicle. We would need a minumum of 6 vehicles and a max of 12. I have done a little more research and found a guy in Jacksonville, N.C. that will do a dyno day for L's. If we have 5 or more trucks he will do 4 runs for $50 and for $20 extra you can get A/F curves on each run. So $70 for 4 runs total. This guy also has the dyno open every weeknight until 9:00 or so.

I know there are some NC L owners out there, WHY no replies??????

 

I'd come; but, that's just further than I would like to drive. Sorry man, looks like a good deal, and a good time, too. Besides, I'm STILL waiting on a chip reburn.

 

How about in Benson at True Blue Performance Roger. That is only 1.5 hours away from you I would imagine(maybe 2). I am not thinking that it would happen until the 19th or 26th of October anyway. Maybe the chikenears and walker could come and you guys could caravan from High Point. It would take me 2 hours to get to Benson from where I live on the coast anyway. Let me know.

 

I bet I can get us 3 pulls for $60, and that would include A/F numbers. This would be in Charlotte; just giving you another location option.

 

That sounds like a good deal for me. With the construction in Durham, Benson is still a long drive. I have a place locally that will do 3 pulls and A/F on an individual basis fo 75 bucks. I'm sure he would go lower for a group. The thing is, he has a tiny parking area and is right down town on a two lane side street. More than three or four cars at a time there would suck. Not a great neighbohood either.

 

By trying Benson I was working to get in the middle of the state. If I can get enough interest on the coast we can get 4 pulls for $70. I might just go over to the guys near me on a weeknight and get a couple of pulls in. I kind of wanted to have a full Lightning meet in N.C., but the replies are limited.

 

Exactly where on the coast are you if you don't mind me asking?

 

New Bern. How about yourself? Are you from N.C.? There are 2 L's and one 03 Cobra potential for a dyno meet in Benson, N.C. I know there were plenty of guys that met up in Kinston, N.C. a few times before I got my L. What's up guys?

 

I don't live to far from you. I live in Engelhard (hyde county). Do you ever go to the track there in hertford.I have been there a couple of times but havent seen any other gen II Ls there. Although I have seen a gen I there. And someone told me they saw a white (?) gen II there one time. Could that of been you? Btw, where exactly is Benson?

 

I am a pretty good drive from hertford. I think hertford is the drag strip on NC 17 headed up towards Elizabeth City and Virginia. That is approx. 2 hours from me.

Benson is just south of Raleigh on I-40, if you are interested in meeting up at a dyno or something let me know. Maybe we could all do a track day instead @ Kinston, N.C.

Yeah, I spoke with Kari at True Blue and she told me she had a L that they had tuned up to 407hp I think. She was suppose to call me by today(mon.) but I did not hear from her. I will try to call back tomorrow and set up a date to meet.
