who knows

I talked to him on the phone, then sent him a e-mail. He responded back asking if I had a cage. I told him no, but I could run a more conservitive chip and keep it in the 12's.

I haven't heard back from him since.

So I have no idea if I am in or not, but I am not going to bug him anymore if he wants me he can call me.

You would think they would want the Z06 Killer there

He called me today and was really disappointed to find out I don't have a rollbar. He said that if I or whoever may purchase my L on ebay gets one installed in time for the shootout he would love to have it attend and run some 10's

I spoke to Evan today and we went over the list of the people he's had contact him so far. There were a few names I didn't know, but for the most part it was people from here, and I put in a good word for those I knew. They are going to be picky about who they invite. This is not an open event, this is a private shootout for a select 8-10 trucks. They will evaluate all the people interested and pick who they want to come. It was also made very clear that invited trucks must meet proper NHRA safety rules. Evan said he might allow a tenth or two into the 11s with no cage, but no more.

Vinnie, Evan said he got a message from a Vinnie in NJ. I told him that I know of 2 Vinnies in NJ, you and Vinnie S, but I told him he should invite anyway because both of your trucks are beautifully done, and would be great for magazine shots.

Congratts Vinnie
I know you will do us proud

You may want to talk to Jim, I am sure he will let you use the slicks that I used down in Virginia. They will help knock a few tenths off you 1/4 mile time.

They are being real strict to adhere to NHRA rules. If you run 11s you need a cage and I guess they want everybody going all out and do not want to see brake lights at the traps.I would assume since they are renting the track there is liability issues of knowing there is an 11 second truck not caged.
