That sure sucks to hear
What did you do, SVTGirl? Break some body's heart OR fool around with some body's boyfriend?
Either way, it's time for Ben

Buy a cheap $500 barely runs car and stash your lightning off campus. Then only use it on weekends

When i was in college the only cars that would ever get messed with were the ones that where parked right out front of the dorm. Right in front of the dorm where everyone would hang out and get drunk.....Where do you park your truck? do people hang out there?

I was thinking the same thing

02maybe -

I was just thinking that. Back in the days-o-college (a long time ago), if your car was parked near the dorms on Friday or Saturday nights you might be the lucky recipient of party archaeology, including, but not limited to, broken beer bottles on or around your car...cheeseburgers, pizza, and spilled liquids on or around your car...the occassional broken window, and vomit on or around your car.

However from SVT girl's discription it sounds as if her car was singled out.

Motion sensor alarm with a couple of hours that BLAST the alarm so loud they won't want to start next to it cause anyone within a foot will set it off.

Thats what I would do.

Big Ben will be getting a phone call from me pretty quick! That's great cuz my boyfriend is Ben...I'm just protected by Ben all over the place! Today I took my L up to Scottsdale and brought down the jeep that is like the "family car"...so for now Baby is safe at home where she belongs. She was parked in a garage...it's lighted but no cameras. So I guess she will be the weekend ride...it must suck to be jealous of a person who has a cooler truck that YOU!! hahah I'm not upset anymore, becuase soon she will be fixed and good as new--BETTER than new!!
*mwa!*

Hey SVT Girl, that's interesting to hear. I'm at college down here in Tucson, AZ - U of A, and was thinking about bringing my L down from Sac, CA, but now to hear about this, I'm having second thoughts. I wouldn't want to park my car somewhere and have someone mess with it. Just wanted to let you know you've got a fellow Lightning owner at your rival school. Good luck with your truck.

wow - and I thought I was scared leaving my truck out in Flint, Michigan. luckily nothing ever happened to it other than the occasional 40 bottle sitting on it.

is Arizona State that bad?? I was out there for work and spent one night wandering up and down Mill Ave. getting a Guinness at each bar that I could. the people seemed friendly - heck, these girls I found took me over to a fraternity party that night.

ooooohhhhhhh.... mount spy cams in your truck - not a bad idea at all. too bad you couldn't just put a web cam on it.

My truck got keyed at Arizona State in the parking garage near my dorm.....I can't stand all this vandalism crap that has happened to me! First someone ruined my tonneau cover, headlights, and side mirrors....now she is keyed. I come out to my truck and people are constantly writing rude things on the thin layer of dust (thats what happens when you live in Arizona-and park outside-even when you get your car washed right away)...they write i'm a b*tch and that girls can't drive SVTs....and oh yeah and I love when people put burritos on my windshield and soda cans on my bed cover---it's really sweet....I'm sad. I love my truck , it's my baby, and it really upsets me that this is happening.
Doesn't that colledge have security cameras there ? I would get together with my roomates and hook-up that X-10 camera to your VCR AND LEAVE ONE IN YOUR L there is a battery pack for that about $260.00 for three camers on line. goodluck ! I have them, also Ruger,Beretta, and Weatherby for long range 300mag. any many more to choose from if needed!!
