#2 lb #4 lb #6lb HP differences?

I've been reading here about so many people dipping into the 12s with just a chip, pulley and filter. I have the JDM Stage I and II plus exhaust on my truck. #2 lb. pulley and dual program flip-chip. The best run I've mustered was a 13.1 @ 105 with a 2.1 60'. It was about 80 degrees and humid. Is this right?

The reason for the subject line is that out of the posts I've seen of the 12 second passes with the pulley, filter and chip, I was wondering if these are possible with a #2 lb pulley. Or are these people running #4 and #6 lbers?

In some better air conditions (like now) I would think I should be able to hit 12s? with my mods (and may'be a little work on my 60')

And finally....what kind of HP gains would I see with my mods and say a ...#4lber?

Thanks...sorry..I was all over the place on this one.

You should be going 12.90's, maybe 80's, the 80 degrees and humidity dosnt help either, you get your 60 down to 1.9 u will see those 12's. I went 12.90's with air kit, chip and 3# pully on stock F1's with a 1.9 60foot on a 76 degree with little humidity. I just got a 6# and a reburn on my chip, feel a big difference, hopeing for 12.50's with my new set up. good luck at the track!!

Take 2 tenths off your 60' time and your in the 12's no problem.

BTW......your exhaust does nothing for performance.

I was just letting you know........so if you went back to stock don't think your truck will be slower.

Dan, Soap hit it on the head. You're 60 fts are your reason for no 12s. With 105 mph trap speed, that shows you are making good power, but you are easily losing 2-3 tenths in your 60fts. Get those down to the low 1.9s or even 1.8s and you'll be going 12.80s easy.

12.50 @ 109 with a Chip/3lb lower/Plugs/Filter in 80 deg fall weather. Its all about 60 foots. I had a 1.79 on that pass.

Your MPH is good. Get those 60 foots down!

Thanks for the info, advice and encouragement guys. I don't know if it's Etown being badly prepped or me just not having a clue on how to launch this thing. I've followed every tip I've read here from the 1.9 - below F1 60' club.

My launch technique has been (mind you I've only made 4 passes) to do a small burnout (around the box). Pre-stage. Neutral. Back into drive. Leave off idle. Roll out and punch it after I hook. This usually results in a little spin but decent hook. I'm sure more practice will net better results but when youre dealing with Etown..it's kinda do or die because you don't get too many opportunities.

In any event..I'll keep trying. Time shots are like sex. Practicing is part of the fun too.

See ya'

Dan
