Normal?
Well i have been reading this board for a while in hope to get an L and i finally got a used one(2000). This truck is nasty, everybody wants a race, but its not even worth the gas most of the time. Anyway, last week and i was driving, gettin used to the power a little bit(old car was a litte V-6 Camaro), and after i let off the gas around 90-100 it dropped gears real hard, like the back end hit some bumps, is this normal??? By the way, i went ahead and got the fastest color.....BLACK!

Yeah my L is white, and only a few notice it, and want to do a little stop light fun.
Or, maybe they know it all to well.

It is probably a good thing looking "vanilla". My Mustang is bright Yellow and EVERYONE, including the local law enforcment, see it very clearly all the time.

Congradulations on the truck. EVERYONE KNOWS BLACK'S THE FASTEST. AS for your tranny, I've read post like this before, it's probaly the convertor or over drive having a bad moment. I've also heard of major banging between a gear shift when making a differant or sudden gas pedal change. I don't think it's anything to worry about but if it happens again "or often" I would absolutely check it out. When your at full WOT Boost and get off the gas suddenly, there is a lot of power built up with nowhere to go "but into the drivetrain" you don't want to let up suddenly like that if you don't have to.

thanks for the info Rob, thats a nice truck you got there, ill have that looked at if it keeps it up. Yea black is hard to keep clean, everytime you pull out of the driveway it gets dirty, but i enjoy cleaning it up and makin it look nice. Black is the slickest when its clean, just cant beat a clean black truck.
