sear won't latch back

After releasing drivers seat forward to access storage bin, the seat won't latch back. Anyone know the fix?

Thanks

I take it that you checked to make sure it wasn't hittin anything? Try pulling the lever on the side to adjust it, and then try again. Ive had this happen once before, and that seemed to fix it.

It’s incredible what the search engine can find for you. Using the feature with keywords “seat and latch” yielded a whole ton of responses:

Check these out.

The information you seek is out there. Good Luck..... Joel

A search of "seat" didn't return what I wanted. Thanks for the reminder Joel.

scoot the lower portion of your seat all the way forward, then put the seat back in the "back" position, then slide the seat back to the normal position. got it?

chris

Just pull up on the side release lever, it will re-set it for you.

That one got me for the first time on my way home for WFC a few years ago. OMG I was mad. No access to computer to ask anybody how to fix it. That sucked.

The dealer told me the seats needed to be taken out , disassembled, and the locking mechanism rebuilt in both!!!

Glad I read the posts before i took it in, I didn't want to leave it anyway...
