Hmm. So im at the gas station fillin up the beast, and up pulls this white mustang. Next to the bad I see something red. So im lookin at it... lookin at it... it gets closer. And I notice a BIG RED R! Im almost positive, but... they didn't ever make anything called a Mustang GT-R did they? The guy thought his car was the chit, gave me a couple rev's. I tried to get him to run me as we both left the gas station at the same time, but no luck.

To answer your question there was never a mustang R. This guy wen't to his local ricer shop and picked up an R symbol and stuck it on there. But what you don't know is that the R symbol adds about 15 horses at the rear wheels!

InS0mNiAc - Yah, I was 99% positive it was never made.

was it a Sixer? lol
I see quite a few V6 Mustangs localy with the R hood, splitter and spoiler..... now what immediately comes to mind is why to they really need all that empty space all around the puny little engine? lol
next time you see a GTR be sure to check if its a GT first, and than totaly disregard the R part, lol

I see those a lot here in Tampa. I'll bet my a$$ also, that it was a GT-R emblem. Those are emblems from Nissan Skylines. I don't know why the hell they sell them over here... they don't even SELL Skylines over here in the US. I've seen Sunfires, Maxima's, Mustangs and all sorts of other POS's with them. Don't try to be something you aren't IMHO

It's for a 6 cyl alright.....A Skyline GT-r.....it's a inline turbo six...definately a different beast...capable of tens with some big hair dryers and about 25 psi.
Mike,
Based on your description of the guy being pretty big, and the car, then the guy you saw in that Mustang GT-R is also named Mike, and that is a sweet as hell Stang.............It sounds awesome, and is pretty damn fast......BTW, he also owns a black Lightning, and ask Paul how those two vehicles run
They basically had the same tune until Paul swapped out blowers.
I wondered why he went out and bought Skyline badges for it myself when I first saw it, but the rest of the car more than makes up for it.
