Does anyone make a "WIDER" tire for stock rims

Another dam Flat, another dam Plug. I got another flat yesterday (nail) (last time it was a drill bit) It's bad enough having no traction w/ F-1's, now I got plugs in both back tires I was hoping to get 10k out of them but I don't think thats gonna happen anymore.

My question is: Does anyone make a "wider tire" to fit stock rims
If so, what size, how much, and where ???? I got a 02 L

I have seen those Nitros 555R's in a 305, on the rear of a Lightning. Those will be my next tire, unless I get those 20" Foose in the near future

305/??/18... At 305's... I would think about getting a 40 series sidewall... is that what they are?

The Nitto 555R's are 305/45/R18.

Nitto's are 28.807" tall
Stock F1's are 28.453" tall

Thumbs up Nittos are Great Choice

I have been running 305/45/18 Nitto 555Rs for about 4 months. Have never put my F1s back on. Great choice for getting traction on the street. Have gotten 1.81 second 60' times at the strip but still experimenting with tire pressures. Great choice with no regrets.

nittos are great but anemic. Just because it's a 305 doesn't mean it will look any wider than the 295. I have also noticed that the F1's are smaller in width than another brand in the same size.

I recently took off my 275 nittos from my cobra and compared them to the 255 bfg's I have in front and they were the same size.

In other words, don't get your hopes up on the beef. They do work way better than the f1's in the traction dept

I am considering those Nitto drag radials for the street. As they are taller than the stock front tires, are you having any problems with the ABS system?

How are the 305/45/18 Nitto 555Rs for traction in rain and snow. Is it much worse than the f-1's or about the same. I know the snow question is a joke, but I live in NY and it's my only ride.
You are talking about the street tire right ???

The 555R isn't really a tire you want to use in the rain, the F1s offer much much better traction in the rain than 555R ever will. but of course on dry pavement, the 555R can't be beat.

They work well in the snow. Just have a local tire shop install the studs for the winter months.
