All Arizona Lightnings !!!!

Truckin nationals are coming up in October on the 18 19 and 20th of the month just looking to see if anyone is planing on going out there this year.Last year was verry fun but there was only 3 other lightnings there and 20 some dodge dakota rt's, there will be over 30 this year.just looking to see if there will be a good turn out this year.The 18th is a friday and that is the pre-reg party and play night.The 19,20th is the actual show.well let me know if any one is planing on going or if you need any more info.

Are you Steph's husband?

Is anybody planning on going on the Poker Run? It starts in LA goes to Mesa and at the end there is a big bbq for the participants and folks in town for the event. I posted about it a few weeks ago but got no response...The bad thing is that if you guys want to go the registration date for the run is the 17th of Sep. It's not a huge fee though. 10.00. I can get the info back out if anyone is interested. I was planning on going. Then I wasn't because I didn't want to be the only Lightning going. But now that I see the topic is back open I would be willing to reconsider. On the run Truckin' magazine will be covering the event and there will be major distributors as well as prizes and a grand prize for the best poker hand at the end of the run? Any takers?

Did that work???

Hope so. Looks like the info I got from another site was wrong. Unless I was misreading this info here, the reg deadline to guarantee getting all the registration "goodies" looks like Sept 30. Anyway...any takers? I really don't wanna go by myself to represent the Lightnings.

By the way, Joe. Nice truck

If I can figure out how the hell to get rid of this detonation. I need to figure out what the race fee is too. I may just go and watch, even though that sucks. I see Lightnings all over the place in Glendale, but none of them seem to frequent this board. I wonder if Steve would care if I had some cards made up on my computer to leave on their trucks...I'm sure there is some kind of politics that will probably prevent that...Anyway...are you guys coming on the poker run?

Yes I may run the truck down the track. It's stock except for the 2" rear drop, airaid filter, and oil bypass mod. The poker fun sounds fun, steph will have to get time off from work. how about meeting over @ arrowhead this coming saturday.

Arrowhead isn't anything SUPER impressive. At least it hasn't been since I have been here, but it's a nice place to meet up. The cops generally leae us alone. There are a few nice cars. The last time we were out there we leaft around 1130 or so and headed up to Union Hills and 35th Ave to the Sonic where a lot of people park and hang out. It's open until 12 and then people separate from there to go out to New River or wherever to race or cruise Bell. There is one guy with a Lightning, he's a giant weener though. All ****y and almost guaranteed bone stock. But who knows for sure. My favorite part is that there are always Grand Nationals. Something about the GN and GNX...I dunno...Anyway, we could always meet at the Hooters on Bell and hang out if all else fails. The weather is getting cooler. It's not so unbearable to be out even at night now. Or you all are welcome at my place. We have a pool, hot tub, lots of bbq grills and if we drink enough I can always be convinced to grab the pool net and try to catch cat fish out of the lake at 2 am to put in the swimming pool :X hehehe

Re: Truckin' Nationals

Hi folks;
Can someone clue me in a little on the Truckin' event in Arizona. CA's link to their site keeps locking up my computer.

While I'm at it: I'm not a huge joiner-upper myself, but I'd like to pass on the news that Arizona now has a local chapter of the SVTOA, being run out of Pioneer Ford. There are no membership fees this year, and no membership to the national organization is required. We've only has one meeting so far, and a fun-run to the Hon-Dah casino in Pinetop 3 weeks ago. A nite at Pavillion's is scheduled for next month, and we're looking into getting some track time.

Any of you Arizona L owners want to be kept informed of events or meetings, let me know. It's always more fun in numbers, and we seem to have a good bunch of people.

CA, I'm over in Glendale, too. Shoot me an e-mail
