Angry If it's not one thing, It's another!

I'm getting so fed up with this truck and everything going along with it. I've been in the process of rebuilding my motor for the past 4 months! Today finally got it all put back together and behold I was sent the wrong pistons and it's going to have to be tore down once again. The garage told me that they would have to charge me ONCE AGAIN to take it back to the machine shop. The hell with that, i'm sending someone else the bill if they pull that. I just needed to vent, im getting aggravated as hell!!!

Smile Don't worry

My lightning was a lemon as well, 1,800 km,s it decided to puke a motor and it just progressed from there. It is now gone and I miss it dearly it was only 6 Months old when I turned it in on lease being I' am a canadian I don't dare get another Lightning until April then the snow is gone. Don't find the right dealer and they will turn yours from a lemon to a cherry.

maybe if u didnt run an 8lb pully your stock plugs wouldnt blow out, and maybe if u didnt put a head unit from a exscursion in you wouldnt have that problem.

Low,my builder had mine for 4 months also.....i would not stand for them charging you again,if it was in anyway the builders fault that you had the wrong pistons installed...then he needs to be a man and deal with it.

93cobra,my heli coil seems to be holding up just fine to my 8# and my truck runs great....even on the street and the total cost was 100.00.
In the nex't week,i am going to see it the new heli coil likes a 10# lower and my 1.5-2# upper

lisn4thawhistle,

Even w/ an 8 pound pulley it shouldn't blow plugs! There aren't enough threads to hold the plugs in. There are tons of supercharged/turbo vehilels running more boost than us and the plugs stay in the block.

Kyle,

You should know that if you install a factory Ford part from another vehicle it will reject the part since it wasn't from the original host. That's why it is spitting CD's on you.

I think that this is my third plug i've blown. And this time i put a hole in my piston and the heat from it corroded my heads to the point that they can't seal anymore. I've ran colder plugs since i've added my 4# lower pulley as well. It's just getting routine, if i can find a buyer i'm probably going to sell it. The garage that's working on it doesn't know what's wrong with it... lol they said today that the right pistons are in, but they don't know what the problem is. VERY REASSURING!

I think you're right buddy, my luck isn't with me that often. We will definetly have to meet up sometime in the near future, I wish i would have been able to come down for Car Wars. But sometime soon for sure.

Don't worry, I'm going to get AJ's unbeatable T/A. lol I'm taking him down for sure!
