I'm just curious as to what it will take to make 450 rwhp on a 2001 L. I was thinking chip, filter, 4# pulley, and TB. Will this be enough or will I need more?

Consider yourself at a decent start if those listed mods above put you @ 400rwhp.

 

Not at all. It will take a lot more. I personally wouldn't try to achieve 450 RWHP without a built motor. You would need an agressive chip, run about 18 pounds of boost, cold air, a full meal deal exhasut system ( w/ long tubes), Electric fan w Cobra R pump, TB and amy more

Again I would want a new lower end (new Manley rods etc..) in order to handle all that boost safely. I am excluding NOS as part of this equation.

Look a Dons bolt at all his mods in order to achieve those numbers

 

I did 426/536 with a stock motor and basic bolt ons. Also got in the 11's...

All done with a safely tuned 11.2 a/f chip......

 

With what you have listed you will be at 400rwhp, trust me
