I've wanted to do the same thing. The bottom grill was stumping me though. I couldn't decide if a billet grill would look stupid with the Harley upper. Anybody tried to have their stock plastic grills chromed?

I'd say you have 3 options:
1. get the stock lower chromed
2. email j-jent.com and see if they can make you a custom insert (they make the one for the HD lower grille so it matches the upper, so maybe they can make you a custom HD lower so it fits on the L grille bottom. They also make matching cervini's hood scoops too)
3. Just leave it black. The 02 and 01 hd's come stock with the black lower grille and chrome upper. Doesn't look as nice, but still looks aight until you figure out what to do.

goodluck, post pics when you do it, it'll look awsome!

Well, here's a fourth option....

You can pull the lower out and get it painted to match the color
of your truck. I don't know why Ford didn't do that in the first place!

Here's mine.

That lower painted white looks pretty good Jeff. I have considered that. Anybody know where to get the upper chrome Harley grill at a decent price?
Thanks, Jeff

Thanks for the feedback,

I have decided to go for the colour matched lower grill for now.

For anyone looking for Harley grills I bought mine from dalonso@***.net he lists them all the time on ebay with lots of other Lightning and Harley stuff, this guy also had a one for sale roak@directsourcing.com. lower price but could not ship to UK at competitive price, good look. I will try and post pics when I get install completed
