I had Polk 2-ways in my other truck, and they made a BIG difference! They sound superb, but I think this time I may go with Infinity or MBQuart just to try something different.

I just put in the small center sub.It sounds great for what it is.But I think there can be a better sound if we change the factory speakers. Is the 5x7 speakers smaller than stock.

the stock measurement is 6x8 and 5x7 is actually the same size (i dont know how but it just is) well yeah the polk's sound great, but they cant do what they are intended for because i still have the factory head unit. but it does have good bass for 5x7 with really clear sound. but im looking at saving up some money and going with that MTX thing and a new headunit, either Pioneer or JVC

If you get these Pioneers you'll have to dremel out the outer rim of the hole a little, because the basket doesn't quite snug in. It took me 30 or 40 minutes to grind out enough to snug them in. These are the TS-W1041DVC's. I've got a 720W 4-channel amp under the passenger's seat - two channels power the door speakers (Pioneer 2-way 6x8's) and the other two channels are bridged running parallel to the subs. The MTX box is pre-wired and only has one set of speaker connections on the back of it.

It hits real hard. Get the box unloaded ($159-$199) and put your own subs in it and get a good, high-power amp.

thats the MTX box though i see, yeah i want that box cause it looks like it fits good and matches the interior. now any 10 will fit? im thinking either Polk (since i have polk speakers i just really like the sound.) and is there anywhere else i could put the amp? i really dont want to put it under a seat, will it fit behind that box or something? and how do you get just the box? i cant find it, all i find is you can only get it with the subs

Any 10 should fit, but like I said, if the basket is a little larger than the MTX subs that normally go in it you might have to dremel on the outer lip a bit.

I found no room under, behind, in front of, or on the sub box for the amp. You might be able to mount it on the back wall, depending on its size.

I got my box unloaded from a local stereo shop. When I went there they had the loaded box ($369, I think) and I had them take the MTX subs out and keep them, so I got it for $199.

The JL Audio 250/1 amp just fits under the driver seat. It's a nice match for the Thunderform.
