Red face Truck out of commission for 6 weeks

It is a sad week - This friday I am having my truck transported up to Sacramento to HCI Motorsports so that they can begin prepping my truck for my new supercharger and stroker engine (354 c.i) from Sal - Unfortunately, my truck will be out of commission for at least 6 weeks (What will I do?? ). Some of the other things being done include;

Replace all stock hoses with steel braided hose
C-notch frame
Line lock
Redo all NX express wiring & add install 2nd bottle with remote bottle opener
Center Console
Install PSP Fast Air

Can't wait until the end of October

I'll give you a ride in mine, Dave. But, it's nowhere near what your truck is.

With your Lightning gone, maybe your wife will benefit from some (more) go-fast goodies on her Expy?

Take care,

-Kris

(for sig description)

HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you say possible 10's?!?!?!?!?!

I'd give up 6 weeks............hell, 6 months, if I knew I was gonna get back a monster like that!!

I'd rather that, than dropping it off for a day to replace fog lights

Kris-

LOL... How are you doing. Once I get my truck back you must stop by and I will let you take it for a drive. No more goodies for the Expedition - the wife wants an Escalade.

JC-

I guess that you are right, however, it pretty much sucks having to drive my POS 91 mustang. I will be happy with low 11's once my truck is back...

I think low 11s will be an understatement Dave. Your truck will be faster than mine .

Dave,
I assume you are talking with cole over at HCI. I was there last friday to pick up my truck and he told me that you had called in. HCI is a great place and they did an excellent job on my truck(I was the first gen 2 lightning they did major work on). Im sure you will be happy with them. When you go to their shop, ask cole to show you the 1200hp 5.4, its insane....

Anyway, good luck and keep us updated.

Joe-

You are correct - I have been talking to Cole (Really nice guy) at HCI. I am glad that you finally got your truck back It has been a really long time.... Unfortunately I am not ever planning on going to their shop due to the distance - I am having my truck towed both ways....

Later,

Dave

WOW.....wet dreams for sure . San Jose to Sac-town is to far It's only 120-130 miles. I'd be taking long lunches to go check in on my investment . Good Luck with the project.

That truck ought to be awesome. I have been waiting for 10 months on my truck and she will finally be together the first of next week.

Here are my mods:
White '00 Lightning #388-4966
JDM flip chip
JL Stage III ram air
FRPP single blade T/B
JL 3# lower (street)
JL 10# lower (track)
JL Supercooler
PSP 255 lph fuel pumps
Elect. fan kit
Cobra R' pump
JL Precision converter
ARP head studs
Ported upper plenum
stock blower
Gregg Evans "Monster Box"
JDM "built" shortblock Manley rods, Manley pistons, ARP main studs, all balanced & blueprinted
DTA Racing & Perf. ported heads w/ mod max valves, springs, Port matched '01 intake
Custom cams
LPP longtubes w/ offroad exhaust
Jay Lincoln "Truck Traks",
Painted stock wheels, Street Scene mirrors, & tail gate handle, Cervini's cowl hood, '01-02 Tail lights, Clear turn signals, Belltech shackles
MTX Thunderforms & amp, Alpine headunit,

I don't like it for a sig because it takes up to much space. Here is what I also plan on doing shortly in the future:
150-200 shot of nitrous on stock blower w/ 10# OR
Whipple 140 at 22-24# w/ 50 shot
Ladder bar susp.
6 point cage
Racing seats w/ 4 points
Etc......

Good luck to you. Hope you don't run into the same problems I have had.
