I personally prefer the 2001-2002 rims much much more then the 2003's. They look more truck like. I would also rather the 1999 Rims too. I hear a lot of people saying they like the new 2003 rims. What’s your thoughts? Here are some pics starting with the 99-2000 going up to the 2003. Whats your vote?

I think the 99's are nice, simular to the Cobra's. As you said the '02's are more "truck like" and that's why I love the '02's.

From the pics of the '03's I hate them and would rather have the 99's if anything. Time will tell and often this stuff looks much different in person.

I like the '99/00's the best so far. Never really cared for the '01/02's. Gotta wait and see an '03 in person to be sure if I like them, but the pics look pretty good to me.

 

So far the new ones look pretty good. May get a set and have them anodized to be completely different...

The 2000's are the best, in my completely unbiased opinion that is

 

I like them better than the 01-02's. I like the deep dish look

 

I didn't like them at first, but they are growing on me. I totally hate the 01-02 rims, mine will rot in my basement forever. It's not that it's a bad looking rim, but the outside flush spoke look just screams ricer. I loved my 99 rims because the deep dish spokes were more musclecar looking. The 03 rims are sort of an "inbetween". They have a bit of a dish to them, just not as deep as a 99-00 rim.

 

No comment until chrome 03' 20s come out.

My vote goes to the 02 rims

 

DAMN.....I got the 01 rims....DAMN,one year off.

 

At first, I didn't care for the 03 rims, but the 03 rims are looking better as time goes by. I like the 03 rims. I bet they will look good Chrome plated.

I had 99-00 20's in chrome on my 01 L and liked them better than the silver 01 rims. When the 01-02 20" chrome wheels came out, I sold the 99-00 20's. The 01 rims look great in chrome, they look like knuckles, kinda gives the L a real aggressive look.

Now I'm back to 18" chrome 01 wheels, to bad they don't make Nitto Drag radials in 20's.

I'm looking forward to some 03 18" or 20" wheels chrome plated.
I think they will look awesome.

 

yhea, something about the 01' rims. They don't look as good as the 02's. Maybe they used a different clear coat or something

 

Interestingly enough, I had a 2000 silver just like the one in the picture, and I now have a 2002 Red just like in the 2nd pic.

I really liked the wheels on the 99-00. That deep dish thing is awesome.

I was not fond of the 01-02 wheels, but that's what came with the new L...

however...

as time passes, I am beginning to like the the 02 wheels very much. Still not as much as the 99-00, but I will like them best of all soon.

The 03 wheels don't seem to work with the truck IMHO.
