Tire Lum, Need Help

Guys, any problem running 26x11x16 ET Streets with the stock F-1's up front? Whats the minimum width rim I should run with the ET streets? Got the feeling the salesman was more interested in
selling than what was right.

Question

And I'd like to ask about that diameter tire on a stock 02 (3.73s) w/4# pulley? What diameter sticky's would be best?

Yes, did a search

Seems to be some arguement over the safety of a smaller width rim. Figure by now there should be plenty of input of what works best.

Thanks,
Mark

Calling my friendly salesman back soon, would like some input before I talk to him.

Thanks,

I would try a 10x16 rim the ten inch rim will spreed the sidewalls out some and keep the contact patch more even at a lower psi. As for psi I would run no lower than 13. On my Hoosiers which are a 28x10-16 I run 13.5 psi any lower and the tires start to cup and lose traction. Are you going to take the truck to the track next season. We are starting a latemodel street class. It will be strictly street cars and trucks must have a V8 or V10. There will be a cut off ET of 14.99 and vehicles will have to be licensed and street leagle. It should be fun I know at least 3 or 4 lightnings that will be there.

Hey Mark

Are you looking to run the tires at the track, or for street racing??

If it is for the track get the Hoosier 28x10-16 dlicks and mount them on some 16x10 rims

Don & Ncetry

Don, plan on using them at the track or up the road on special occasions. Wanted Hoosiers but would have to order them out of state and by the time they get here I am sure the snow will be flying. Might do that anyway since they will give me better performance and I dont have alot of confidence in the guys I am dealing with. Ncetry, will be at the track at least once next year.

Thanks,
Mark

No problem running the OEMs up front and The M/Ts on the rear---unless it rains--look out!. I use the ARE Baja wheels which are 16x10". See Sig.
