The Saleen S281 is just a GT with an intake, exhaust and nice brakes and suspension. It's barely faster in a straight line than a stock GT, so I'd bet on the Lightning.

LT: You missedf the sc... The Saleen is offered with an optional supercharger. Not sure of the performance.

you mean you pay all that extra money for brakes, exhaust, and intake for a saleen Mustang.

OOHH! I didn't see the SC part. Yes, the blown Saleen is BAD AZZ. Can easily run mid 12s. The Lightning would loose that one. Sorry.

I think he is actually referring to the S281 >SC<... the supercharged version.

I wouldn't worry about it.

With traction the thing is a low-mid 13second car stock. But it's almost impossible to get traction with them.
My parents have one. Its got chip, filter and upper pulley and made 315hp/380tq. I took it to the track one night for the heck of it and managed a blistering 14.50 @ ~100mph with a sweet 2.46 60' (I am a great stick launcher, no?)

This was at 2800ft altitude track at about 80degree temp... With traction, at a sea level track a HIGH HIGH 12 second pass might be able to be squeezed out of it.

You should be able to take it, especially with a good launch. If you are modded, there's no chance...

damnit, and i was just over looking at it, it does have the super charger. Its pushing 360 HP. So i guess with a few mods the L would dominate.
