Which otc injector cleaner is best
Which otc injector cleaner is best
Do any of you L owners use an over the counter fuel injector cleaner. I have 28,000 miles and have never put any cleaners in my tank. Are any of them worth while?
Thanks

I think the Chevron product is called Pro-Gard (w/ Techron). Black bottles with red and blue lettering. Usually $5-$7.
My brother used to work in a large automotive testing lab. Among other things they tested all sorts of 'snake oils' (as they called them) and he said the only product that did what it said it would do was Pro-Gard.
Whenever one of my vehicles starts to run a little rough, I pour in a bottle before filling up. Clears it uo every time.

Personally, I recommend the redline...I have used it based on my good friend who owns a Honda motorcyle dealership. He uses this stuff with great success on bikes that come in with partially clogged carbs etc. I have used it in my own vehicles and notice an immediate improvement.

You're gonna get a lot of personal preferences here, so I guess I'll just add mine
. Of all the ones I've tried, the only one that ever made a real improvement to any of my vehicles is the Berrymans B-12 Chemtool. We used to have a POS daily driver that was very prone to injector clogging, and this always made great improvements in the performance. Using this car as a (non-scientific) tester, I would try different kinds when the performance started to suffer, and the Berryman's always brought it back up to par. I got results with some of the more expensive cleaners, but none performed better.
