Western Chassis Front drop?

Has anybody changed out the front a-arms to get their drop, instead of the springs? I've talked to a couple of guys that weren't happy with the spring drop and have decided to go the other way.

This piece gives a reg F-150 a 2 inch drop. I believe that translates to a 1 inch drop for our trucks. That's all I want. I already have 2 inch drop shackles in the back.

Replacing the control arms with those would give you a 2" drop in the front, not just 1".
Coils are misleading because the L already is lower in the front than a regular f150 by .75" Meaning if you buy a 2" coil for a regular f150 it only lowers a Lightning 1.25"
The conrtol arm will give you whatever the advertised drop is, in that case 2".

Just some info for ya.

Thanks. That's too much of a drop for me. I guess if I wanted to have the most expensive 1 inch drop possible I could use springs from a reg F-150 in conjunction with the A-arms to get the desired drop. I don't like being the guinea pig though. I'll just have to skip the whole thing for now, and maybe just go with 20s somewhere down the road. I like the handling right where it is, but wanted to close up the front wheel well a little. 20s will do that just as well. Just a lot more expensive.

actually, SVT specs the lightning as being 1/2" lower in the front compared to a regular lightning...

I would know, I have the SVT coils and springs.
