All I can tell you is look at their customer service.

I hope that with JL Selling the Kenny Beels that their won't be any problems. Kenny Bell has been known to have the worst customer service.

I can Tell you Chris at works will be their to help you and will stand behing his products. I bet you can't say that about Kenny Bell.

I can say that Kenne Belle gave me great customer service when I owned my Durango.

Have you ever dealt with them? or are you just saying what you heard?
Who makes the Works blowers?

blowers

I believe the Works 140 is based on a Whipple. The smaller one that is out now, is a rear entry Eaton.

Works Power has a few 140 Whipple rear entry blowers out being tested. It is going to be the ticket for serious racers with built motors. The Rear Entry 112 will be a great blower for stock motors.

The reviews of the Kenny Bell unit looks good, but untill we see them on more than one truck, who knows.

And yes I have had a Kenny Bell blower on a vehical before, and their customer service left me with a bad feeling. I also have about 5 friends with Kenny Bell blowers, and know what they have gone through when needing service.

Oh I forgott

Maybee next year if we are really nice there may even be a 201 rear entry Whipple for the really sick guys out there.

The Works 140 is a rear inlet Whipplecharger. The "kit" is being made by Works Power using the Whipple blower, just like the Kenne Bell "kit" is made by Kenne Bell using an Autorotor blower.

Blowers

If a rear entry is so much better, why don't Top Fueler's and Funny Cars run them. Even the Blown Alky guys with Whipple style blowers use a top inlet blower. Not trying to start a war, just asking a question.

This is a complete guess:

They run them because theu use carbs which can bolt right onto the top?????

Roots style blowers take air between the rotors, and compress it against the blower case, then out the bottom of the blower.

Screw blowers are axial compressors. What that means is they ingest air at the rear of the rotors and compress it FORWARD as the rotors spin. The discharge out of the blower occurs at the front of the rotors. If you have a screw blower that takes air in through the top of the case, it becomes less efficient because the incoming air is fighting the rotor movement, and the area of the rotors under and behind the top inlet opening, is not compressing air. When you have a rear inlet screw charger, the air is being taken in at the rear of the rotors, where there is no compression, and the blower rotors do their job right from the rear of the case.

For more info on how these blowers work, check out this page from Whipples site:
