Air Intake

Does anyone use the K & N FIPK? If so, how do you like it. Would Airaid be a better choice? Do both kits come with a heat shield?

Thanks to everyone for all your input!

K&N does NOT make a FIPK kit for the L.
With that, I would say the airaid is better.HEHE

Seriously, look at a air kit from a SUPPORTING tuner.JDM,PSP JL all have nice kits.

Does anyone know how good a FPIK works on a 5.4 non S/C? I put a muffler and regular K&N on but it needs more help. Can a "L" chip be reburned for this motor? Lightnings can spoil you, I miss the power.

I have the Air Force One on my 97 F150 xlt, 4.6L and it works fine . I recommend getting an Outerwear 'sock' cover for the air filter too.

Go to the Chips site and ask about a Superchip for your 5.4. I have one on the 97 too. I don't think you can use a 'Lightning specific chip for your non s/c'd 5.4.
