Question What next for better times?

Here is the current setup on 2002L

Diablo Chip single program(new burn coming within the week)
4# lower
Airforce 1 filter kit
Factory tech valve body
spring clamps on leaf springs(not sure if helping yet??)
160* hypertech stat
F1's w/ 8k miles

Should traction bars be next? powercooler? sway bar disconnected? nittos? etc.????

How 'bout some slicks? And if you haven't installed some drop shackles, try that too. I just installed mine earlier this week and will be hitting the strip this afternoon!

I would get some type of traction bars so you don't complain next month about breaking your driveshaft. That is just me though. If you really want to be quick stick on a 10lb lower.

Hi 2020is,

There are *tons* of things you can do to increase performance further. Your boost level is relatively low with just a 4 PSI crank pulley on there and a stock upper, a better throttle body is mandatory to get rid of the restrictive center section in the factory unit, especially with raised boost. You want to do everthing you can to increase the air handling capacity of the air intake tract, especially in these Roots-type blowers, as the air going thru the MAF & throttle body is not pressurized as it would be in a centrifugal supercharger. The '01 & up L already has a nice 90 mm MAF so that's fine, just upgrade the throttle body. We can also supply you with a ported upper inlet, the part of your supercharger intake tract that the throttle body actually bolts to and carries the air into the supercharger. Then there are headers, high-flo cats, & a better exhaust, converting over to electric fan cooling, etc.

Traction is indeed an issue, it certainly needs help there to plant the tires to the pavement to put that power to work & control 3rd member rotation to avoid bent and/or broken driveshafts.

If you'd like to go over this in detail & maybe map out a good plan of exactly what is most appropriate upgrade/modification to do next, as well as what all you'll need to do to get to whatever level of performance you desire and so on, give us a call & we'll be happy to help.
