Ordered FIVE 2003 Lightnings today ($99,000 each) and got to meet Rusty Wallace too!

Hi all, my internet has been dead for a few days since I just moved, but the last time I was here there was some debate about whether or not dealers could actually "officially" submit orders for 2003 Lightnings or not.

Well today my dealership ordered 5 of them and was told that job one date was somewhere around November 4th.

I personally ordered 2 of them because I still haven't decided between red and sonic blue.

There were a few funny things, there was a "hold" placed on the CD player, I don't know exactly what this means, but they did make a note of it. could be a problem or maybe just nothing.

also they have the price listed as 99,000 dollars, I think this is a bit steep myself , but I assume that what this really means is that the price is GOING UP AGAIN but they just haven't decided how much.

I heard a while back that both Ford and Chevy were going to increase prices by as much as 4% ACROSS THE BOARD this year, so this may be true.

On a sidenote, the Nascar Winston Cup guys are here in Richmond VA this weekend and Rusty Wallace came to my dealership to sign autographs.

people started lining up at like 1:00 or 2:00 and he didn't get there untill after 5:00. By the time he got there the line was wrapped around 3/4 of our building! I got to go up into the sales office and say hello and get an autograph before he officially started signing.

interestingly enough, he arrived in a Roush (sp?) Expedition and I think we changed his oil (we don't carry Mobil 1 ) and replaced wiper blades. woowee

later,
chris

I don't know the year, but I hope he has a huge bumper on it so he can put Gordon's *** in the wall this weekend for his bump and run at Bristol. When it happened I sat in silence for like ten minutes and then went and washed my L.

Rusty has a 99 red one. I've talked to him a couple times at races. My union is one of his co-sponsors. Look on the "B" pillar on his car, second or third sticker down. It a round UA sticker

Question

How many seconds did it take to change the oil and wiper blades?
