Post Top 2 Reasons To Do Oil Seperator Mod

1. Effectiveness of oil breather caps are questionable at best.
2. Pictures are worth a 1000 words.................

Backside of Oil Burnt T-Body

Front of Intake **poor picture quality

Thanks to REM

Thanks for the pics!
Did you do anything to the PCV hose that connects from the drivers side cam cover to the bottom of the intake boot?

I put mine in and had about 1/2 to 3/4 of an ounce of oil in 3 DAYS!. My throttle body looked almost as bad as yours after only 2700 miles on the truck. I had a breather cap on the truck from the first few days I owned the truck...

I think this mod should be done by every single L and 02HD-- period.

Onelfastlride: The last time I inspected mine, I had no signs of oil coming from the drivers side. I guess that it because there is not much of a vaccuum pulled from that side, but the passenger side is a different story since the line connects downstream of the TB.

Where did you find your parts?

01Lightning,

I'm by no means an expert here. Razor's Edge Motorsports sells the kit I believe for $49. call em

I tried to find the Campbell Hausfeld parts that were listed in an earlier post at both Home Depot and Lowe's. Neither one had the 3/8" inline filter. Both had Amtrol or Airtrol (not sure) filters but they weren't 3/8".
Anybody know where else to look for these parts.

Does Razor's Edge have a web site to order from or at least look at their version of the oil seperator mod?

Thanks,
Eric

I found a 3/8" filter made by Amflo on the Lowe's website. Cost is $27.88.
