Where is overhead temp sensor?
Just wondering if anyone knows where the sensor for our overhead panel is located. The only reason I ask is that I just finished building my home made ram air/ K & N system, and noticed that the temperature has gone down and goes down the more I drive the truck. Just wondering if that panel takes the reading from the temp sensor? in the airbox. Any ideas would be appreciated
Thanks for the info guys, I wonder whats up with my temperature readout all of a sudden, I dont think it got that much colder in Hawaii, unless somehow I 1) knocked dirt off the sensor 2) am causing more air to move around the sensor 3) somehow damaged it making my ram air.
Hummm now you guys got me thinking
What would happen if we could put that sensor in or nearby the airbox so we would have an instant reading of the air inlet temp... Would not have to have a scanner to read that temperature... Just a thought..

The only issue I can think of is that the temp sensor is desined to react slowly to a change in temperature. It may be too slow to tell us what we would like to know as far as intake temps, unless you are cruising on the highway and it has time to stabilize.
I think I remember someone doing that mod ...
can't find it in the search though ...
A thermometer is a thermometer is a thermometer I always said.
OR we could install a rectal probe and display .... <nah!>
