Drive or Overdrive?

I live in a pretty hilly and curvy area, some of the hill cause me to downshift to even get up them in overdrive. Should I be drving in drive down roads like this? let me know what you guys think, thanks for your help.

The time you want to turn overdrive off,

when your transmission keeps hunting for gears, i.e. goes in and out of overdrive frequently.

This can occur on very hilly mountainous roads, or when towing. the upshift/downshift will eventually get the tranny temps up high enough to damage it.

Turn it off--the eng. and the trans will appreciate that. I turn mine off when in town traffic but I have some very 'cold' plugs that will misfire at low rpms.

Ive had my Lightning for 2 years and over 19,000 miles. I always drive with OD on. The only time i take it off is for a burnout or a race. If you are worried about heating up the tranny then i would get the deeper tranny pan. I have one and its great. Im pretty sure that it holds 2 more quarts of tranny fluid then stock and also has a drain plug which is much better then stock.
