do NOT use it on the engine!!!! it is made to use on most painted surfaces that have a lite coating of dirt as in getting cought in the rain.i wouldnt use it on a truck due to the cost but on a motorcycle it works great.but its only a quick fix til you can wash it by hand.it probably want hurt the engine but there are better products for cleaning the engine.

<<Guru Reports recently tested 46 different waxes and only one got an 'A' for appearance. Not Meguiars, not Pinnacle, not Zymol and not Zainos (all got B to B+ scores). The wax that was top in appearance was P21S, a German wax developed by the same guy who developed Pinnacle Souveran (which runs $69.99 for 8 oz). P21S normally goes for $24.95 through high end automotive shops and on line car care outlets.

The dirty little secret is that the same exact wax is sold at Harley-Davidson dealers under the name S100 for $14.95. The wax is the same, the container is the same except for the name of the product. The only reason I can think of it being cheaper is that one container could probably wax a bike more than 50 times, so the average bike owner would never come close to using a whole jar of it and probably wouldn't pay full price for something they will never use all of.

The Harley dealers also sell the S100 paint cleanser which is a real good light polish. The cutting power seems to be between Meguiars Swirl Remover 2.0 and Show Car Glaze. That runs about $8.95, a dollar less than the P21S paint cleanser. >>

I believe you are looking for S-100 Engine Brightener. It's like armor-all, but 100 times better. If your engine paint has faded, this stuff will bring it back to show room new, or if it has not faded, it will help keep it looking new for a long time to come. Now you guys must under stand that motorcycle engines get a lot hotter then truck/car engines. This stuff has lasted a long time on my 1990 ZX750R engine. The motor looks brand new, and it has over 48,000 miles on her. (I ride it in te rain, and it still looks like new, and any biker will tell the motor on our bikes are a PAIN in the a$$ to keep clean) If you guys don't believe me, just ask SVT_KY or Crazyone, both form Ky area. The have seen my bike.

And by the way, you can buy this stuff at any bike shop, Jap or Harley, it doesn't matter. Heck you might be able to get it at a auto parts house. Don't know for sure on that one. (I've never looked)

Thumbs up S100 Harley Stuff

S100 does make a engine brightner product that enhances the black shine on motorcycle engines. It works very well an I have used it on all my Harleys since the product came out... I have never used it on my truck motor however, i dont think i would be scare too. This product sprays on with a tube sprayer goes on clear and sits for few hours brightens black harley engines as if they were new.

Hmmm, the S100 I've used, is sprayed on, then hosed off. Works GREAT on motorcycles, never thought to use it on my L, though. Would probably make everything look real nice, but I'm not sure I would want to go after the engine compartment with a hose to finish the process. Here's a link about S100 cleaner.

just a heads up. I use s100 detailing cars for $$ so I get alot of it. A few really really good sources (The people I get s100 from, and a few other stores) have told me that s100 is going out of production. The oparent company has realised hat is happening with these two identical products, and they are replacing s100.

It has not gone out of stock, but it should reallllyyy soon. so ****** it fast.

Yep, they are coming out with a new wax to replace it. I think it'll probably be something better.

Cleaning

When I clean the wheel wells and under the hood I use a prduct called Mr Moto Moto Wash. It is like S100 you just spray it on and hose it off. It works really well for me. I get it a gallon jug and use it for the dirt bike and the underside of the cars.

It is also cheaper than the S100

Question S100 Confusion

BoDawg

You are slightly confused the s100 product you are referring to is a spray on bike wash and yes you have to rinse it off very fast and imediately after using (do not use on engine) I Repeat do not use on engine.

S100 also makes a product called engine brightner. It also is sparayed on and left to dry. It is sprayed on with a small tube and any excess is wiped off with a clean rag. This product is designed to restore the black finish to a new bright showroom new condition, it sprays on as a clear liquid and works very well. I have used it on my Harleys for several years. It lasts a long time on motorcycles and i have never used it on my truck. I supposed it would work fine because the motorcycle engine runs a lot hotter than the truck

Thumbs up S100

I use S-100 on all my Cars. Just make sure you spray it when the engine is cool, then a few minutes later ..HOSE it off...it will look like it did when the engine came of the assembly line. Brand NEW and no spots. IT WILL NOT harm your finish!!

repeat...WILL NOT HARM THE FINISH!!

and will not harm the paint on the car/truck. But it WILL take of your wax.

No need to ever use degreasers on your engine once you try this stuff!!!!
