I'm so sorry to hear that. I can totally relate as 2 weeks ago I came outside to go to work and someone stole the headlights off my Cobra, ripped the Saleen rear spoiler right off the car and stole my headlights. I didn't catch who did it but I have a good idea. it just really sux cause you try to have something nice and work hard for it and other people just take advantage cause they don't understand the concept of working for something. They are either jealous or just total asses but either way it really sux. I'm sorry to hear about your loss. Hopefully your insurance will cover most of it.

it so much pisses me off this whole thing. Why does anyone mess with nice cars. I wouldn't even care if it was a chevy,, I still would never spit or damage a car that I know people take good care of. there are no security cameras,, however I am in good with the police in my area a a lot of them come into my store,, a report has been filed,, and it was such a releif to have the cops actually tell me what they would do to the guy if they found him lol,, its great to know that many cops are very sympathetic to vigilanties with the right cause

Regardless the main reason why this is terrible is because I work so damn much its very very tough to get an apointment with my insurance company to have them fix it at one of their shops or have someone come out and inspect the claim,,, granted I love my insurance rates,, but sometimes I'd rather just buy a new tire and say screw them. The thing is,, the smearing stuff on the side of my truck bed fender is terrible,, it has bubbled up the paint and really made a mess of things. Its as if someone sprayed gold paint on it or took a peice of dog poop and smeared it all over till the painted started to peal. Makes me want to plaster large NRA stickers all over my truck just to let them know that I mean business when people mess with the ride. There are rules in this world for everyone that doesn't want to start things with people,, those are never mess with someone else's girl,, or house,, or car or family. I'd rather have had them vandalize my store,,, hell the first two weeks of business four years ago our windows were shot out twice a week,,, I hated that **** but I think I hate this more,, at least then the insurance was out to fix it the next day,, now I have to wait to see whats going on,, and I hate having to wait.

~Toast

btw,, thanks for all the sympathy,, it does mean a lot,,, and heres a shot out to all you who keep their L's garage kept,,, thats where the truck does belong,, have a peace of mind and a sense of meaning that she's there in the garage waiting for you when you get home unmarked from the dangers of the world. Gotta hate detroit area right now. and also,, sorry if i'm rambling,, had to drink away the images on my truck I saw today.

I agree with you 100 %. I want to kill the people who robbed my car. I said the same idea about the NRA stickers. I wanted to put a sign saying Car proteced by Sig Saur.... If I catch anyone poking at my car now they will be looking down the wrong end of a barrell and that is for sure.

Is it possible that they put brake fluid on your paint? That would eat into the paint and cause the paint to bubble. I hope your insurance company will work with you. I lost $500 because of my deductable so I wasn't happy about that.

Find out who did it , then call me!! I have been known to administer a midnight beatdown for that kind of crap!!

I can also perform the same act in broad daylight! At his work or anywhere you want!!

I don't fight fair!!

Nobody treats an L like that!!

GREEN EYED MONSTER = ugly side of human nature. Most people are insecure; and a few are moved to act on it.

The only thing you can do is look the other way and move on. If you get a chance to "correct" that type of behavior, do it. WASTE 'EM! Otherwise move on. You'll be dead in <60 years. "Illegitemi non carborundum" or something like that. Ulcers cost more than paint jobs.

Damn toast! It pisses me off to no end just hearing about it! It saddens me greatly that someone would do that to a Lightning. WTF is the deal with everyone's Lightning getting vandalized? This is the main reason I NEVER get out of mine and leave it sitting out of my site, Because if I caught the *******s touching it..........well..............Id end up in jail for the excessive force I used upon their tiny brain housing groups! Hope you get her back in shape quick! Buy ya some old POS to drive back and forth to work and keep the Lightning for cruising! I drive a 1990 uh hum........... chevy truck daily and keep the L in the garage waiting for a nice day just to cruise or smack the local unsuspecting vette's around!

Man that sucks I hope you find those a$$holes and give them what they deserve. Nobody respects anything anymore, you see it everyday. People swing there damn car doors open and they hit your car, do they care, no they just walk away like nothing happened. I had a 94 Sentra stolen a few years ago, I know its not a luxury car or anything but it was my first car and never even had a scratch on it, I had just put some $2K wheels on it and had about $6K in stereo equipment in it and the damn bastards stole it from the front of my firends house while we were at dinner. They found it about 2 hrs later burnt to a crisp.

Hehe, thanks. I think

It is in fact a mkii MR2 T-top Turbo. The mkiii is the Spyder version, and yeah they are slower (138 hp stock mkiii vs 200 hp stock for the Turbo mkii). Thi one is in mint condition so far and is going to be running the 1/4 in 11 sec's.

As for the mods, I could've had a Lightning for what I paid for the MR2......but it sure is a fun car to drive. And suprising to most

BTW, I need to get a better Digi cam too....hehe

Thanks And would you believe it's still growing. I need to add my 50-150 shot of N20 before April 25 2003 for a big show/race going on in Vegas and possibly a body kit, some new wheels and a new paint job. There will be some serious competition there, it will be all MR2's and Celica All trac's. Im hoping to hit 11's without the nitrous.

Oh and BTW there are some very fast MR2 Spyders. I know a guy running 12.6 with a basic turbo kit and a stock motor. It will be a built motor for our show in Vegas.
