I have had my Lightning for 1 year on August 27th!!! Last year when I got it everyone said that it was unbelieve how fast it was from the factory, BUT it would never get any faster cuz it so heavy!!! I said, "Watch and learn, or Race and LOSE!!!"

After watching my truck go from stock to full modded
"Bolt-on style" that is ( no motor work YET )...4 of my buds just went out and got new Lightnings!!!! All 02's...Red, Blue and 2 Silvers!!!! I would say that 4 new Lightnings in my "circle of friends" is an AWSOME thing!!! Especially since Decatur's population is only about 50K people!!!!

I'm just glad they didn't all get BLACK!!!

One of the guys was on vacation when he saw his Lightning at a dealership in Mobile, he just said "screw it, I'm gonna go get one now"!!!! And drove home in the new toy!!!

granted our trucks are alright as far as money goes to mod,,,, but you sure could wake up a mustang for much cheaper as far as I've heard and seen. Mucho props to our trucks though,, since all the mods the truck I've got here is now actually dangerous to drive,,, the thing downshifts so easily I've got to get used to it,, used to gun it a lot more.

Being one of the friends that bought one of the 02 Silver Lightnings. I can say that 3 of them that were bought had nothing to do with being Rich.

Three of us bought ours on X-plan and got good deals on our trades, if it had not had been for that, none of us would be driving one now.

I was the one at the Beach on Vacation for me and my Wifes Anniversary. The Truck was my Anniversary present from her, I told her I was kind of burnt out on Mustangs and wanted somethign new. She told me to got get it.

As far as the Mustangs being Cheaper to make faster....there is now doubt about that....I have a 93 SC'd LX, that weigh in around 3200#'s and make around 425-450 at the rear wheels, I dont think I want to try to modify my Lightning to run with it.

 

I think I met the some or all of the friends CHIKIN1 is talking about at the Hunstville Dragway last Friday. Very cool guys. There were 6 Lightnings total at the track. Sweet site to see. With mine being white I think we had every color covered.

 

I am the one with the blue one!!I have had mine for about a month and i still love it.My stang has sat ever since.I just needed somthing different to play with,after all i have had a 5.0 stang since 1988(yes i am that old)After seeing how well they take to simple mods,im hooked.And as for being rich?Naah, just have great credit!!lol!
And if anyone believes that Alan,a.k.a injector dude,is not going to mod his L to the fullest,i have some oceanfront property in Tennessee i need to sell you...........
