Cool INCON306 "owns" WA 2 FST

No, no...not talking about a race.

Jeff S. from San Jose (INCON306) flew in to DFW today and bought my '90 LX (WA 2 FST). Jeff's a great guy, and I know the car goes to a good home and he'll use it as it was intended...to be raced, and raced often!

It was difficult to make the sale, as I'm the original owner and have put a lot of blood, sweat, tears, and of course $$ into the car. Jeff probably couldn't tell, but my feet were freezing the whole time he was here.

I know this isn't really Lightning related, but this is two forum members from different parts of the US that got together and enjoyed the day.

Wow, that's messed up, never thought you'd sell that car Wes. But you are right, Jeff will take care of it. I think I have a magazine with that car in it. Oh well, I'm sure you sold it for a reason, glad to see everyone is happy.

Sorry to see you had to sell her. That is something that i always wanted a 90 LX done exactly like you did it. I still wanna do up an LX to make it a 10 second street car. Someday HEHE .

Hey guys,

Thanks for the props on the car.

I didn't have to sell it...it was just time to move on. I get to the track less and less each year, and my priorities have definitely shifted. If I was 23 like Jeff again, I'd have never sold it.

The fact is that I didn't drive it, didn't race it, etc. As Jeff saw by my documentation, I've put ~2000 miles on it in the last 4 years. Something is wrong with that picture.

It's a good car, built right, with the right parts. A racer's dream, and it looks good, too. Jeff will have a lot of fun with it.

Man, that car has been a Dallas legend for years. I wish I could have owned that car.

Good to see ya post Wes, albeit under sad circumstances.

It still is a SWEET ride.

Cali,

Jeff and I were talking about you and your adventures with your truck today. Are you going to get an '03 L, too?

Sam, thanks for the compliment. That's high praise.

Bob, yes it IS a sweet car. It's a kick-butt car. It's just a LOT more than I need anymore. And I'm not sad about it. Who knows what will be lurking in that empty garage bay in time?

It'll be real funny if a Viper, etc. wants to race him from a 40mph roll to 150-160mph. Better place your bet on the Mustang from Dallas.

3.27s + 600+rwhp = incredible top-end.

Wes Calilightning is my evil twin. Jeff is the perfect person to sell your car too. I don't know anyone who is more compulsive about taking car of his vehicles and doing things the right way. He won't even let me near anything he owns. : ) The night he saw it online for sale he said, oh man this is the car I have always wanted. Im very happy for him. and you couldn't have sold it to a nicer guy.

Steve,

Yes, Jeff is a super nice guy and I know he appeciates the car, the parts it has on it, the power it makes, and the time/effort I've put into it. Like I told him, "It's not 100% perfect", but like he said, "its _awfully_ close for a 12 yr old car".

I know he'll take care of it and get a lot of good use out of it. Once he gets accustomed to it, and starts ripping some powershifts/speedshifts, he's gonna be in the low-10s.
