Question Dealership Trade-In Value

Looking at an 03 Cobra ! Dealer won't budge off MSRP of $34750, but will give me $26800 on 01 Silver L w/ 6400 miles...

I am thinking this is not bad since I Pulled-Off $1500 in Mods !

Any Thoughts and be gentle...

Thanks

Just think of what you could do to your lightning for $8000.

Decent trade-in...but you should be able to do much better than sticker on a Cobra Rustang.

I thought so too on the Cobra, but with 5G premiums floating around I thought MSRP was better. I have an X-Plan Pin, but they won't go there. I am not sold yet !!!!!

Tell the salesman that you really would like to buy the cobra but the price isn't right for you. Don't tell them to stick it. Go home and wait for the phone to ring. If they aren't selling cars, you'll here from them again shortly with a better deal.

I know someone who just sold thier L for $26,000 privately with only about 6-7000 miles on it. That's not too bad of a deal you're being offered this early in the '03 sales year. It could be a lot worse. It could be some better, too.

I was just offered 22K on my '01 with less than 9K miles..........MSRP on the Cobra is reasonable, but that trade in offer made me wanna barf...........now, had he come back with the offer you just got, I might just have a different vehicle in my sig!

It sounds mighty tempting man..................push for X-plan on the snake..................he might budge after a couple days

trade in value

Last spring a local dealer offered me $22k for my 99L w/21k miles on a new L. He didn't even look at it except out the window of his office. I wound up getting $26.5k tradein on a vette for my wife. Now I have an 02 L which is much better than the 99
