Around 2/10ths on my L over a 6#...actually i have seen 3/10ths + but the weather was cooler by 11 degrees and that particular track hooks a little better than the one were the L gained 2/10ths.
I gues what i want to know is how much gain does a 10# lower gain over an 8#?

If you mean an 8# pulley on a stock engine....i have to go with the majority and say don't do it unless of course you are looking for an excuse to possibily build your motor in the near future.

you can get away with a 8lb lower on a stock bottom end. Think about all the guys running 6lb lower's and 2lb upper's opn stock bottom ends. Thats more then 8lb's of boost cause that 2lb upper is rated at 2lb's with the stock lower though, so its probably more like 10lbs'+. I know a couple guys with that combo on a stock bottom end and so far they haven't had trouble. I think its all the luck of the draw with these rods. Some are crap and some are pretty good, just depends on your batch that's in your motor.

I run a 4lb lower and 2lb upper with a 50 shot and I'm ok. thats allot more then a 8lb lower only.

No traction would be because his tires would be coated in oil after the motor blows
