harwood hoods

anyone purchase one of their hoods their three inch cowl looks sweet but just wondering if the quality is good

He he...when I first read this I though it said HarDwood hood. I was going to say that it would prolly be a b!tch to polish.

I just dropped mine off to the paint shop at lunchtime. The tech said that the finish was in good shape and needed no prep work like some of the fiberglass hoods need (i.e. no wavy finish). I did some light sanding on the edges, but it didn't really need it.

I test fit the hood when it arrived. If fits great but with only one complaint. The gap between the edge of the hood and the fender well is slightly bigger than the stock hood. Not much, but noticable if you were to compare side by side. I have heard this complaint on some of the other hoods available by other mfg'rs.

I will put it on this Friday, can't wait.

I have one! I'm the Lightning in the ad. I have my pics in Skankdog' s photo gallery. Take a look and you will see it , unfinished.
