Saturday morning around 8:15 A.M. I decided to take the Lightning and drive over to K-Mart and pick up some chemicals for the pool as they had them on sale.
Traffic was at a minimum as I stopped at one of the traffic lights on the boulevard.
From out of almost nowhere there appears next to me a 80 something Vette convertible. The guy looks over at me and says
" I bet these are the kind of match ups you like, huh"?
I could not help but laugh to myself, all the time keeping a straight face, and sort of grunted out "Uh-Huh"
He then says, "those are one bad truck, I know. Makes me sick that I bought this instead of one of them".
Makes one feel good to hear that from a Vette type.
I really had no intention of wasting the poor guy, but he gave me no choice as he hit it as the light turned green.
I rolled into the throttle and by 150 yards had walked him so bad, that I actually felt guilty.
I pulled into the K-Mart lot, and he followed.
We spent about 10 minutes talking as he admired my truck, and left stating that this would definately be his next vehicle.
Needlesss to say, I had a smile on my face all day.

I don't advocate street racing. But... I have been known to quickly accelerate up to the speed limit

 

Ya unfortunately I got a ticket for that Sudden Acceleration

I asked him WHERE it was written that the TIME
to get to the speed limit was regulated, and he
just laughed as he wrote ...

Did manage to bargain it down to "defective equip"
and no points with a beautiful young prosecuting
attorney though ...
