Which would you rather a totally modified Vortech Supercharged 96 Cobra or a stock (for now) 02 Lightning? I want something different and love the Lightnings. I've wanted one since the first time I saw it. Which would you rather have? The Cobra has no warranty left as the Lightning will have one for 3 years. The Cobra will be paid off in a year and a half as the Lightning not for another 5. The Cobra now has 76,000 miles and that is usually the repair zone so I want to sell it before I start having problems. Do you think I can get the Lightning as fast as my Cobra?? Help me out with pros and cons of each.

you can get these lightnings really fast really easily....

Tough choice.

One thing that made my choice a bit easier was the cost of insurance. A new cobra (02) was 3 times the cost as was a new 02 Lightning.

The Cobra will run hight 11's low 12 on D.R. if I can get traction. The lower end is stock so I know it isn't good for too much boost. I like the idea of having a warranty and also a brand new vehicle that I don't have to worry about repairs on.

 

If you are going to make your lightning fly like your cobra then out the window goes the warranty, so dont let that play a factor.

 

If that Vobra doesnt have a built lower end, then walk away. Seriously. Been there, done that, 1,2,3 ,4 5 frickeen times.

Besides.. The Vobra has no warranty nor does it hook.

 

bad thing bout mustangs is only way to make em go fast is to put slicks, putting slicks breaks trannies like no tommorow.

got a 94 convertible stang sitting out front that will run an 12.30@123mph lol because i refuse to run slicks anymore after having blown up my 5th race built t-5.

stangs are a hell of alot of fun but its just not the same as the lightning...my stangs been sitting ever since i got the lightning bout a month ago
