HOw long will the lower end of the L motor last while spraying nitrous under boost? To me that sounds like disasater waiting to happen. Sounds fun though!!!! hehe

From what ive heard, its actually VERY safe to spray a small shot into our engine's under high boost, because of all the heat our S/C'er's create... Not sure if im totally right, or maybe wrong. Im sure someone who knows more will chime in...

I've had nitrous on 2 Big Block Chevelle's, a prototype ZR-100 Kawasaki Motorcycle, and probably my Lightning someday I will say there is nothing better than being able to push a button and add 150 HP instantly. HOWEVER even know I never hurt one of them with years of using it, I will say you can clearly feel the results on your tranny in time, drive shaft and components, and even rear end and possible chassis issues. As for the Motor, it actually keeps it spotless and it actually does make some sense that it "MIGHT" works better on High Boost Supercharge Motors. (just my opinion) Schit, now I got to buy one for my L. I think the issue "IS NOT" what will the NOS do to the Motor. The question is "WHAT ARE YOU" gonna do to the motor and components with all the extra horsepower at your foot. LETS REMEMBER we got low RPM motors, weak bottom ends, weak threads in the head, and a few other things that would worry me about using NOS daily. (If I have it, I have to use it)

You got the right idea keeping it at 75HP, thats perfect, and safe.

Thumbs up

Hey Guys

I am using a NOS brand kit, 80 shot. This is upgradable to a 150 shot. I am going to leave it at 80 or at most 100. To answer a question, yes it will dramatically lower the inlet air temp., this should be fun and most likely land me in the 11's.
Where can I find a rollbar?

I have been running as well as my cousin (10secL) a 75hp NX shot with a 2-3# pound lower on JDM's nitrous program for quite sometime with zero problems. The 75hp shot really improves the performance of our L's without feeling like it's extremely hard on the truck. I have tried the 100hp shot and it felt like the truck was on the ragged edge. I only ran the 100hp jets once to race an 01 Z28 with a 150hp NX shot just to prove a point. I beat him on the street in the 1/4 by at least 10 cars!! I will stick with the 75hp shot and the 3# lower to keep the rods from seeing daylight!!!
