Aint that the truth!!! If you get black be prepared to clean!!! But you can't beat a clean black L!
And FuB: '01 was the first year of the Euro Lights... You mean '99-'00. Not bashing you... just a correction.

Black is by FAR the best looking color when clean. I always wanted a black vehicle. So I bought a Black Lightning, six months after owning it, I never wanted a black vehicle again

anyway, yeah, black is hard to keep clean, but its worth it cuz nothin looks better than black when it is clean IMO.

but since i already have a black HD, i want a white L

 

My 01 L was black, looked excellent for as long as 3 minutes after I cleaned it up. My 02 L is silver & never really "looks" dirty. Of course it looks best when cleaned, waxed, etc., but never looks dirty. At 46, with a full-time job, a second job Pastoring a church, a photography business on the side & a daughter in college, I just am not able to devote the time required to keep a black vehicle spotles.

My choices would be
True Blue- almost as bad as black about keeping clean
Silver- looks elegant but, Ford Silver tends to have problems
Red- Bright, fast looking color, attracts cops IMO.


I would like to see an L in that bright green color they use on the Mustangs, or a nice bright yellow. Probably wouldn't buy either one but it might look good.

Silver or True Blue, Black is cool but there are a ton of black/white/red L's! and Black is just too damn hard to keep clean unless you have a garage to keep the truck in.
