Last night matt[high roller] ran in the 12's on his first run ever down the 1320 in his brand new 03.
Another matt with a modded 03 ran 12.09 at some where around 122-124 mph with a filthy k&n used filter,chip and L upper pulley on street tires...and both had 60's in the 2's

These new cobras are impressing the sh*t out of me

 

I got about three more weeks of waiting for mine.

The new Cobra's are some bad MFer's. And it makes me happy, being a Ford Fan, it does my heart good to see the Mustang at the top
But I still can haul plywood faster

 

Well coming from a ex L owner and now driving a new 03 Cobra here are my thoughts on both of them.First there is nothing like the explosiveness of a modded L off the line,just ask Soap he walked me the first 300 ft. when i raced him.Its all in the driver on a 03 Cobra off the line,for every tenth in 60ft. you will pick up 2 tenths at the other end unlike our L's did.I ran a 12.9@112 with a 2.20 60ft. bogging badly(nearly stalled)against Joe on my first pass ever down the 1/4 in my new car.The rest of the night was a nightmare for me,my car with the new shifter kept seizing up and jolting me at 100mph and i thought it was the shifter doing it but i fiqured it out today with a friend that rode with me in it and i was going into 2nd gear at 100-105mph instead of 4th causing my car to lock up(very scary) I have alot to learn with shifting this new car but it will be worth it.

 

Here is mine and Matt's slip.......those 03's aren't that bad.......until they get a chip/pulley anyway

Thanks Ed, we all really wished you could have made it out there but we understand why.

As for the R/T, I told you us youngsters are killer at chopping down the tree
You should have saw my RT against his buddy who runs 12.0's on street tires Lets just put it the way........I was past the tree when his bulbs were still yellow

I agree, when Matt gets his chip/pulley on we are all in big trouble.

Enjoy it while you can, because your day is coming. It might be another 20 yrs, but those cat like reflexs soon turn sour on ya.
Just remember two things happen to ya when you get older, First you lose your memory.....And the second thing is..........O chit I forgot!
