well i was reading in todays news paper san diego union tribune and they had an article on the new z. Well i was wondering who will win. the only they they said was that the Z 0-60 time is 5.4.

 

It'd be pretty close against maybe a stock '99 or '00. But, this is driving this thing like you stole it... and being damn good at it. W/ the 6 speed, it just isn't as consistant. I've seen reports of the new Z from 6.1 to 60 down to the claimed 5.4. Nice car, but that VQ V-6 is getting maxed out in terms of power. In the most recent sport compact car, they put on some aftermarket parts (i.e. intake/exhaust) and actually lost horsepower! Nice car, if you're into the Z's. It's a good buy for someone that wants a car thats sporty coupe from the factory and you don't really have to do anything to it. Just my .02

So it seems we beat them in the 1/4 and are just SLIGHTLY behind in handling. Me like.

It also appears that either MT has better drivers or they suck up to manufacturers a little more. Probably the former.
