I have a friend that wants to do this mod. I already
warned him about the fragility of the front bearings
in the Eaton, but he says it shoudl be OK. What he
needs now is a source for the Lightning pulley. Any
of you guys wanna get rid of your old stock one?

ASP 2.5# is the same as the lightning and cost $89.00 from RPM Outlet. I'm going from memory but I think that is what it cost when I did the mod on my 02 Harley truck. The puller they sell is like $139.00 and will work but it's not the best piece of work I've seen. Be sure to put some antisieze lube on the puller main bolt and go slowly because the threads are so coarse that the nut will bind and strip. Follow instructions and the job is not nearly as hard as people make it seem.

 

Yeah, only Lightning owners would pay that kinda
change for a PULLEY !!! <grin>

 

the ASP is not the same as the LIGHTNING. it will make 1 or 2 pds more boost than a stock LIGHTNING pulley on a bone stock COBRA.

 

If you put a Lightning pulley on a 03 Cobra you will make 4-5 more lbs off boost.

With that pulley and a properly tuned chip you will be putting over 500 rwhp to the grouns.
