Question correct offset for a 20x10 wheel?

I'm ordering some wheels that are 20x10 with an offset of 10 and i just wanted to make sure they would tuck and not stick out. Discount tire said they would...but i'd like to hear some more opinions.
Thanks guys!
Jeff

Stock is 6" ( 5.98" ) , so go with a 6.5" backspace and you'll be OK.

6 in. backspacing on a 10 in. wheel should be fine. Depending on tire size, 6.5 is probably right at the limit.

If you don't believe me fellas, check with Ford...http://www.svt.ford.com/flash/index.html
STOCK wheels are 18 x 9.5 with a 6" backspacing. I've ordered a couple sets of custom wheels so I triple checked all of this stuff to make sure I didn't get low rider positive offset wheels. Getting the wrong backspacing can be a pretty costly mistake.

I trust ya Rob. As I was typing my reply I was thinking,"I know of at least two sets of custom wheels that RobG has posted here."

I'm not trying to be a wise a$$ but I've measured the stock wheels before and that's what I got. Here's the weird thing, in the '00 Ford Racing catolog the Lightning wheels are listed as 18 x 9.5 with a 5.98" backspace. In the '01 & '02 catolog they have shrunk to 18 x 9 with a 5.8" backspace ??? What's up with that ??? The Lightning brochure still has the wheels at 18 x 9.5, so did Ford shrink the wheels down in '01 ???

I'm not being a wise cracker either. I think you're right about the 9.5 inch rims. The 295s would protect them better if they were 9 inchers.
