17-20 hp for throttle body?

October issue of Truckin has a Lightning article where they take a 99, and upgrade w/ Kenne Bell, JL's pullies, AccuFab TB, etc.

They say :
"We ran dedicated tests on the AccuFab prototype throttle body with excellent results. The throttle body was worth 17-20 hp according to our tests"

I didn't think the t/b's were worth that much in HP, more so in throttle response..........maybe with the Kenne Bell on there it made the difference. ?

Better throttle response for sure. No gains.

Thumbs up

the more boost you have , the more air flows through it which gives you more power.

Thumbs up Accufab Throttle Body

I have an Accufab Throttle Body and a #4 pulley and the throttle responce is greatly improved, I know I didn`t pick up 17-20 horsepower, but there is definatly a noticable performance gain.
