Will Panhard bar work with a 5in drop?

I have seen pics and it does not look like there would be enough room between the bed of the truck and the top of the bar is this true or am I wrong?

any input would be great.

I doubt it would, but there's other ways to get traction besides the panhard bar now.

There's no room unless you cut the bed floor.

Mr. Killa,

Panhard bars restrict latteral movement of the axle not horizontal It's a handling device not a traction bar

Yes they do but they also help you get traction when you take corner's, making it a traction device aswell.

Just keeping you honest Joey

Silver-Bolt,

No can do. The top of the pumpkin is still taller than the axle tube, right ??? I'll take some pics for you guys tomorrow of the cross brace that keeps getting whacked by said pumpkin during hard accelleration. There's gonna be some cuttin' and a weldin' goin' on this weekend fellers.

Not likely. The bracket for the bar that mounts to the diff cover would be to close to the bottom of the bed.And would almost surely hit when you go over bumps.Stan

Stan's panhard might not work with that drop, but it can be done.
With a little creativity you can mount a panhard that will lower the roll center.

That big of drop and you could just about run it upside down off the bottom.

Mr. Silver-Bolt,

I was thinking along those lines. Something of a sideways mount deal.

It can be done. You just have to change the mounting points (you'll have to triangulate the one at the frame).
