Chip Gurus... Is it o.k. to install my JL Chip yet?

Sounds like a silly question, but please read. I ordered a Johnny Lightning Diablosport chip and got it yesterday. The only mods I told him about were a K&N drop-in filter, full synthetic oil, and a JDM silver bullet exhaust (cat-back). The problem? It's been almost 3 weeks and the exhaust has not shipped yet! So, part of me wants to play it safe and wait until the exhaust is on to install the chip, part of me thinks that it won't make a big difference and I should go ahead and drop the chip in. So, I guess I don't know how fine-tuned these chips are. Will I potentially damage the ECU and chip by installing it without the cat-back on? (if the chip is tuned to adjust for less backpressure), or will I be o.k. for a week until exhaust gets here? It's killen me to have a mod ready to go and not install it!
Final question, I decided not to wait and bought an Accufab Throttle body yesterday... do I need a chip re-burn for this? If so, perhaps I will just send the chip back before I install and get that done right away.
Thanks for any help!

go ahead and install it. I'm 99% sure there aren't parameters set in the chip regarding exhaust mods.

as for re-burn for a throttle body. not necessary either.

Install it and have some fun.

Thumbs up

Like everyone said install it you are good to go. I ran my bassani cat-back, 2#upper pulley, Airraid air filter kit, Single Blade T/B, and Factory_Tech Valve Body for months without a chip and any problems .

Thanks for the quick answers everybody! I am installing that chip tonight then! Whoo Hoo! Boy, it is so fun to have a vehicle like this with so many options for modding and upgrading. I am looking forward to getting that exhaust on and getting that mean sound. Any last minute tips on installing the chip? It stinks that you have to scour off covering on the contacts, that seems silly that Ford did that as the ECU is a sealed unit.
