Supercharger Removal ?

I'm getting ready to take the Eaton off of the truck for polishing in the next couple of weeks and wanted to know if any of you would like to share some tips? Anything would be appreciated. It's just bolted on, right? All I have to do is unbolt it, polish it, and put it back on with new Supercharger oil, correct? Thanks for any input.

John

I've been told when you take the S/C off you should replace the bolts when you put it back on. You will also have to take the blower apart to polish it correctly so the red stuff (I think it's Locktite) will need to be reapplied.

I reused the old bolts. The dealership reused the old bolts. I just took mine off again, and will reuse the old bolts when it goes back on. Good Luck with whatever you do.

I got some pics of my blower swap in my gallery. click the sig and you'll see how easy it is.

Remember to clean out the intercooler from flaking rotors coating. Also clean out the oil in the lower intake and you might aswell port and polish it all up too.

Make sure the truck is running, it will make everything easier

Seriously it's not hard to remove at all. Just make sure the engine is nice cool, cause that S/C is not fun to carry when it's warm.

check the rear bearings and put some high temp grease on them. have the blower verticle when pulling out and replacing the rotors. this keeps from scraping the side as much.
