OH BOY OH BOY!!!

I broke down and ordered the retrax today fella's..should be here in 7 to 10 days!!

I will let you know how the installation goes..or I will email you when I screw it up!!

Nice you will love it. Dont worry install is cake. Just have someone there to help you so that its easier when you go to lay it in the bed.

 

Take your time and don't forget to Zaino.

BadAzz is right, install is super easy but you will probably need a hand lifting it into position. It's not heavy, just unwieldly.

I lifted mine into place with a 2' piece of deck board between the cannister and the floor jack (bedrug/liner already in place of course).

Thanks guys..I cant wait..I didnt order the tailgate gasket..I told them I heard they fall off all the time..They said they recently got a new product that stays on..But encouraged me to get it later cause I may not need it at all..

I thought that was very professional..Oh also..They asked me how I heard of them..Of course I told them www.SVTLightnings.com!!

I also said I heard their stickers are easy to remove..HA HA..they guy is shipping it to me without the stickers!!

Very good group of people..I was really sold when the sent me the example kit!! Well see how it goes!!

 

My sitckers came off in 2 seconds no problem. If you have a bed rug or plan on getting a bed rug no need for the tailgate gasket. The bed rug is one continous piece that goes from the bed to the tailgate. There is extra material between the end of the bed and the begining of the tailgate. Put that extra material between the bed and the tailgate and that seals of the tailgate. No more ***** and dirt coming into the bed .

 

Here i just made this in photo shop so you know what im talking about. Also gives you an idea of what the retraxs looks like with a bedrug.


That pieces is what i was talking about that seals off the tailgate.
