supercharger noise normal?

With my 6# pulley, its got a noise at idle in gear, and at high rpm it's LOUD, and winding down...it sounds like a turbo, is this normal, or is my blower going out? Does it run off of engine oil, or is it self contained? Time to change oil?

Is it a really high pitched whistle type noise? I have that type of noise, but I just figured it was the belt spinning so fast... Maybe not?

theres a small black plug on the front of the S/C. it takes an allen wrench to get it off. when your engine is cold the oil should be level with the hole.

how often does this oil need to be changed? How do you drain it? Kind of oil? THanks for the help.
