Lightning Handle Vs. S-cab Handle

Does anyone know if the 2002 Exterior driver side door handle of a lightning (the keypad handle) is the same as an F-150 S-cab's D/s door handle?

Thanks

you would think they are the same. Some of the S-cabs might not have the keypad though.

you buy a new handle color matched and also buy the keypad...install it yourself...Yes Ford sells the handles color matched...

Hi Ascii,

I assume that you want to install the keypad on a 2002 F150.
I just did the install this week following Toyman's instructions, it was a piece of cake. Took about 2 hours, but my 3 year old was helping me work on the truck, grin. When I get home from work tomorrow morning I will look at the invoice and post the part numbers. The handle and keypad I ordered are for a 2002 Lariat SuperCab and it is a perfect fit and match with the stock handle. Had to remove counter weight from old handle and install on new handle, no big deal, drill out 1 rivet, and bolt on old counterweight to new handle. Wiring harness was a perfect fit. Color True Blue was a perfect match. Parts guy at dealer said they listed all colors available for the Lariat, which should be all of them.

I will try to post a pic of the installed handle tomorrow if I can send the pic.

Best Regards

Michael

Post Keypad and door handle part #'s

Here are the part numbers and descriptions from my invoice:

YL3Z-14A626-AA / ACTU ASY-DR LK Keypad
1L1Z-7822405-BAC / HNDL ASY-FRT D Door Handle

Still trying to post / email the pix. We just changed to comcast.net and are having some configuration problems with our network. Having to use internet at work for now.

Best Regards

Michael
