Gave a Viper a good go tonight!

I didn't think I would be able to keep to him and I was reelin' him in after he got the first jump. The guy was as shocked as I. He was a gentleman and gave me the wave and the nod as I pulled off after several miles of playing. That was fun! Keep in mind that this was one of the first Vipers, not the new one.

Vipers are fun to play with but ferrari drivers hate to get wacked by pickup trucks, trust me on that one! HEHEHEHEHEHEHE.

Ok I'm Jelous,

Harv + Killa, you guys get to play with Vipers and Ferrari's. Here in NY I only get to dust Vette's, Firebirds, Camaro's, and 5.0's

Hey E3,

How do you think a stock L would've faired against the Viper? I would love to run against one one day, and although I know I'd probably lose, it's still satisfying to able to stay a few cars back from a 'supercar'. Makes the car driver feel 'inadequate'

I am basically stock, just a K&N Conical Air Filter...
I raced a viper about 2 weeks ago, it was a friend of mine in his dads. Anyway... he's a pretty damn good driver... he does autocrossing and the such, so he knows what he's doing. It was dead even off the line, and all the way through first, then as soon as the tranny shifted into 2nd, BANG, his back bumper was at my front bumper (cause he's in 1st till ~65), then, in 2nd, i'm keeping pace, and BANG, he shifts to 2nd (65), I get a few feet farther up his car, then, his 2nd starts to pull on me... by the time we hit 90, he was a 1.5 cars ahead, and by 120 he had about 3 cars.. not bad for a stock L... that's for sure... he sure couldn't believe it. Pretty soon i'll have the 6lb'er and chip from REM... "bye bye viper"....

Rob, just drive like 20-30 miles west and you'll have plenty of viper's and ferrari type cars to play with.

The stock or very close to stock Vipers I see at the dragstrip does 1.78 - 1.82 sec. 60' times. I have not gone under 1.90 sec...

Even though we may not win every race, it's nice to be able to say 'but I'm in a 5000 pound truck, what do you expect'

I'd rather take the win, then to have to make an excuse like 'YEAH BUT MY TRUCK IS 5000lb's!', or, 'FOR 75k I COULD BOUGHT AN L, AND MADE A 9 SEC MONSTER OUT OF IT!'.
