Idler pulley wear !!!RATTLING!!!
Could this be causing a bad rattling (tapping like sound) noise at idle?
I removed both blower Idler pulleys and the passenger side has even normal ware. But the drivers side is all uneven also both pulleys would not spin freely they would not even make a complete revolution.
I also noticed that the accessories idler pulley on the driver side has the same problem with uneven wear.
Do these need to be replaced ? and could this be causing the rattling noise? The worst part is it does not make the noise all the time any input would be great.

If you want to rebuild the pulley's, you can press out the old bearing and press in a standard industrial bearing. It cost's about $3 ea. You will have to specify a 6203 C3 bearing with double seals.
These have a little more axial movement (wobble) than I like. I am trying to get my bearing supplier to special order me a C2 internal clearance to test. For some reason, the bearing people are resisting this order. It is a common bearing. They just want to sell me a standard part from stock. Stay Tuned!
